This gastronomic experience in the Chianti hills is designed for those who already have a general idea of Tuscan food and wine tradition and would like to deepen their knowledge of Tuscan gastronomy and culinary excellence.
In an exclusive private Villa, you will be guided along a unique gastronomic journey, in which each day a different product and a different small local producer will be presented. The aim is to offer you a cultural background of the most representative culinary products that express our territory.
The second objective of this gastronomic journey is to give you the possibility to educate “your taste” by meeting experienced and passionate producers and by understanding the whole “life” of a product, from farm to table.
The tour of Italy “Following your taste”, you will understand the difference between a hand-crafted product made with passion by artisan producers and an industrial product, made by industries for the mass market.

Day 1 - Sunday: The Experience begins!

Arrival in the beautiful exclusive villa in the Chianti Classico region with private and panoramic salt swimming pool, spectacular landscapes with endless vineyards and olive-groves, and so many special and original activities to do. Here you will meet your hosts, a couple of young guys who welcomes you in the best way! so… after the arrival, it’s time to relax and enjoy the magical Chianti landscape. After, you will have dinner together with the hosts, preparing homemade pizza in a wood-burning pizza oven.
Montrogoli is an ancient “casa colonica” dating back from the thirteenth century. It has been restored respecting the original architecture and furnished by combining unique design elements with antique pieces of furniture, many of which are typical of the area.
Located in a panoramic position on the hills of Chianti, the property has a total area of about 300 square meters and it is divided into two parts, both used as accommodation to rent and connected to each other, respectively called “La Villa” (the main body) and “Il Fienile” (the smaller apartment), which can be rented either together or separately.
Overall there are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and the villa can welcome till 10 guests.

Day 2 - Monday: Visit to a Historical Chianti Classico Winery and Florence Walking Tour

During the morning, you will visit a beautiful and historical winery in Chianti Classico area, with guided tour and wine tasting and a final educational light lunch, where you will learn how and why to combine a certain wine with a certain kind of food. 
In the afternoon, we propose a walking tour in Florence, with free time to shop and enjoy an espresso or gelato and to wander the beautiful streets, shops, and cafés. You will spend the dinner in Florence, in an excellent restaurant featuring organic and sustainable products.

Day 3 - Tuesday: Cheese making lesson, Professional Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasting and Chianti walking tour

In the morning, you will learn how to make cheese! Visit to an organic goat cheese producer with cheese making lesson and tasting of products. For lunch, you will visit an artisanal oil mill, discovering all the secrets about olive oil, with a professional extra virgin olive oil tasting and an educational light lunch. 
In the afternoon you will visit the famous village of Greve in Chianti, stopping at the renowned butcher’s shop and at the largest wine shop in Chianti. You will have an “Apericena" together with the hosts in a small restaurant with local meat and organic wine in a friendly environment: an unforgettable experience!

Day 4 - Wednesday: Visit to a Cinta Senese pig breeding and Fresh Pasta Lesson

In the morning you will visit a “Cinta Senese” pig farm, a local Tuscan treasure. "Cinta" means "belt", and in fact they are black porks with a white belt on shoulders and forelegs! During this tour, you will have the chance to discover all the curiosities about this ancient Tuscan breed of pig. A delicious lunch based on Cinta Senese meat will follow. In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax. For the late afternoon, we propose a cooking lesson focused on fresh pasta (tagliatelle, pasta alla chitarra, Gnudi Toscani) with the host Alessio. You will enjoy dinner at home, eating what you have prepared. Here you will not have starred chefs or sophisticated cuisine… only the authentic tradition, based on genuine and local products!

Day 5 - Thursday: Departure
